We collect only what is needed to operate and protect this community.
Information you choose to share
Profile details, activity, messages, reports, and information submitted through forms. Do not upload medical records.
How information is used
To provide community features, moderate content, respond to requests, improve safety, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted.
Optional health-related information
Your relationship to cancer, diagnosis type, stage, and similar details are optional and should remain hidden unless you deliberately choose to share them. Cancer Connections will not use diagnosis information to suggest connections without explicit consent.
Age information
Age range is optional and hidden by default. Cancer Connections does not request an exact birthdate as a public profile field. Members control whether an age range is displayed.
Private communication and moderation
Private messages are intended for their participants. A reported message may be reviewed as needed to investigate a safety concern. Blocks and reports are used to protect members.
Service providers
WordPress.com, BuddyPress, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, and other contracted services may process information needed to operate the platform under their own terms and privacy commitments.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information, contact beyoutifulstudiosllc@gmail.com. We may need to verify identity before completing a request.
Location and device permission
Local resource searches are optional. You may enter a city, state, or ZIP code, or use location services offered by an external map provider. Cancer Connections does not place exact member locations on public profiles, posts, group listings, or member-search pages. External map providers process searches under their own privacy terms.
